A right? A request? A set of rules? In dating and relationships, there's no shortage of opinions and advice on what boundaries are and how to set them. With all the advice out there, boundaries often sound more complicated than they need to be. Our baseline is simple: boundaries are about expressing what you need to feel well and acting in ways that honors it;

Communication is one of the most vital tools we have in dating and relationships. It is the bridge between our inner world and the people we care about. It's how our needs, boundaries, and emotions find their way into connection and understanding. However, communication is more than words. For true understanding, it also requires our actions to align with what we say.


Self worth is an important piece of the puzzle in creating authentic love relationships. Dating starts with you and the communications you have with yourself every day.

Building on last section - communication - we must remember the most frequent and impactful communication of all: the one you have with yourself every day. The way you speak to, treat, and show up for yourself forms the foundation for every other relationship in your life. Self-worth shapes how you see yourself, what you believe you deserve, and how you allow others to treat you.

How do you work on your self-worth when your emotions overwhelm you? How do you communicate your boundaries when doubt or pushback makes you lose faith?
